Okay what would cause the "Properties" to not show up in Explorer and My Computer? The computer wont let me see/set the HDD properties at all. I cant even view the My Computer properties when right-clicked.

Any ideas? Im running W2K Advanced Server.

You click it but it doesn't launch???? I must say well done for generating that error. Do you have another Win2K Adv. Server machine around. I have an idea, that being that the windows explorer files are corrupt as they are usually open while windows is running and carry a possibility of being corrupted.

The problem is that explorer itself rely's on several DLL module files to carry out several different tasks. Out of interest, if you right-click on the windows background and select 'properties', does the display properties window appear and function correctly?

a long shot but worth looking into, this could be a virus :Q

i had a trojan on my moms machine that wouldnt let you do certain things in explorer, like it was tring to keep you from finding out certain things the virus was up to.
