One of the best movies of all time.
Starring one of the best actors of all time.
With one of the best soundtracks of all time.

Any who dislikes it is a heathen heretic.

PS: Here's the full ending (though it has non-english subs) https://vimeo.com/28989315

At 6:08 of your video link, DDL runs into the side rock which moves as he accidentally bumps into it, LOL  (painted fabric tent to make the rock hole smaller?).

Never noticed that movie making faux-pas before.

They should digitize a correction if they ever re-release the movie again on Blu-Ray. Nothing worse that being into a movie and then seeing a camera light, etc. Kinda ruins the "believability" of your 2hr experience.

Yup. I'm sad that someone else pointed it out earlier in this thread. Now I'll never be able to un-see that (like a bunch of goofs in Gladiator).

figure I should own this Blu-ray, but the "most helpful" Amazon customer reviews state the director's cut botched the theatrical version. :/
I re-watched the "definitive director's cut" BD and it was excellent. Maybe I'll have to see what he thinks was "botched."
Do not fear. That reviewer was excoriating the much-older "director's cut" DVD/VHS. The lines of dialog he claimed were missing are most certainly included in the "definitive director's cut" BD. Some of those reviews are from long before the Blu-Ray format and the "definitive director's cut" existed.
Thanks for checking! Just ordered it before the price goes up.

Well, it is kinda strange that Chingachgook speaks English at the end in the "Definitive Director's Cut" version. I think that wasn't in the theatrical cut. The words are fine, but the assumption through the movie is that he doesn't speak English and there's really no good reason for him to speak English there.

It's still the best way to own this movie until they release a version with all (3?) versions and seamless branching.
