I bought this guy's cd the other day, and its pretty damn good. The thing that suprised me tho was actually seeing him on TV so soon. As far as I know, he isnt a very popular artist, but I love his cd "St. Elsewhere." He has a myspace page if you want to listen to some of his tracks, but I cant really link it right now since I'm at work.

Anyone else catch Gnarls Barkley's performance last night on the VMAs? I thought the whole star wars thing he had goin on was pretty cool...

LOL! You should listen to Cee-Lo's old stuff.... really good! I miss him rapping and smoothing it out w/ those vocals. There was a rumor going around back in 2002 that he was going to join Outkast - I thought that would have been awesome!

so is this true?

I'm thinking that Gnarls Barkley is the group name, since it consists of 2 members. He may still go as Cee-Lo independently. Anyone have more info?

Wikipedia...not that hard to use.

Gnarls Barkley is a musical collaboration between producer Danger Mouse and rapper/singer Cee-Lo. Their first album, St. Elsewhere, was released by Warner Music on April 24, 2006 in the UK and on May 9 in the U.S. by Atlantic/Downtown Records. It was made available for download one week earlier in the U.S. iTunes Music Store and other online download stores.

The white dude is someone special too, I forget what my freind said his name was...

And my bad for screwing up the name of the awards show. I dont have mtv, and hate most of the shows that they have on, but I just happened to be flipping thru the channels at my freinds house at exactly the right time.

EDIT: too slow...

Sings pretty good for a rapper.

Too bad the whole performance was lip synched.

Of course.. it's hard to play bass in a Stormtrooper uniform.
