luckily we still have the paint, we dont have anymore drywall, but thats easy, we have tons of putty and drywall tape though.

i could fix it, but my bro says others are coming to clean up.

i wanna read online and make sure my idea would work.

Cut out square, replace square with fresh drywall, use gorilla glue to hold it in place, let glue dry, putty the crap out of it, make it smooth, sand it.

paint, let dry

paint.

OH, just freaking GREAT. Good that you found in time! You need to get busy. Hopefully, the hole is not on a main hallway in direct light where the parents will see it. You want to build up the hole and sand it down. Better that the patch requires more putty and sanding than the drywall patch sticks out. This will take at least 48 hours (patch+painting and drying time) HOw long do you have?

monday night. they come home.

im going to go cut out the hole, and put some wood backing in there, it literally goes from stud to stud, which is an issue, but i think im just gunna cut out the main hole, and get some wood in there, my brother and his buddies can go by a sheet of sheetrock to patch it with, and ill take care of the sanding and puttying, they just have to go buy it.

luckily its in the corner of my basement, with poor lighting, and an ugly color paint.

No I meant the irony of him saying it. He tried to be responsible by keeping some people out but he was also stoned out of his... yeah. But carry on.

You are very lucky about the location. Very lucky.
You will NOT get it successfully repaired. (i.e.patched and painted) in time. The first coat of paint will get absorbed a lot into the sheetrock. It will take 48 hours for that first coat to fully dry, then you'll need to paint it again. If you had 3 days, you might be able to pull it off.

Additionally, paint smells. Even if you put the second coat on next week, as soon as your 'rents go downstairs, they will smell it.

You need to get a cover story going. Something plausible. You/brother broke the wall b/c you were messing around with a football...you tired to patch it so they wouldn't notice...so sorry they caught you. Blah, blah.

BTW...did you ever think for a moment that said POS neighbor will rat you out to the rents?

nope, that POS neighbor, we hate as well.

plus the cops found nothing, i mean ill have my bro tell them they had a few ppl over... but other than that?

all i know is when i jokingly tell my dad that i threw a huge party, he always just responds "make sure you patch the holes"

so well...

right now, im waiting for my shims that i am gluing together, to form the back support for the next sheet, to dry. ill give them an hour, which shold be enough to get them atleast settled, luckily the wall has insulation behind it as well, which provides some support, and the drywall, when i cut out the square, is still solid.

ill be workin a lot, but it will get done

When I was younger it was all about house parties, I loved them. I never did marijuana because every time I did it I felt ill . So it was all about the Budweiser :D.

That?s crazy having cop cars patrolling the streets, is that normal or was that just out of the ordinary?

Also I feel sorry for you guys in the US, the legal drinking age is 21 SHEESH  It?s only 18 over here, and that?s about the right age I reckon.

Some kid is lucky not to be in jail right now.

We got a call that there was a party at someone's house in a nearby neighborhood.

I got to the house where the disturbance was. There weren't that many cars around, but I was just checking up on the area.

The house looked normal, but we rolled in with our big ass lights on.

I didn't see any alcohol from the street, except for one beer can.

We went up to the house and knocked on the door.

The kid who answered said there were 3 people there, and that he was kicking people out. He mentioned alcohol without me even bringing it up though, so he seemed suspicious. He also looked stoned out of his mind.

We interrogated the hell out of these kids, cause we knew they were up to no good.

Gave the kids some field sobriety tests, following our fingers with the big ass Maglites in their faces.

All in all, it was a fun night scaring the hell out of underage drinkers.

Cliffs:
Homeowner filed a noise complaint
We go check it out
Partiers apparently vanish into thin air, leaving only 3 or 4 people
Have friendly chat with smartass kids
Give them a sobriety test
Leave

Meh. That happened with almost every party we threw in HS. All the cops did was either to tell people to STFU, make us pour out the liquor, or make everyone go home that wasn't sleeping over.

it was safer for ME to be OUTSIDE of my house, but still on my property, than it was for me to be standing in my doorway, with 25 kids in my basement, because if someone coughed, they coulda heard it.

Yeah, what a shocker, someone might cough...people do that....and they still couldn't have come in. Hey, I'm glad you handled it as well as you did. Most kids wouldn't have. But one reason is because people don't know their rights.

In college, we used to make money by throwing double-header house parties every weekend. Eventually we got caught, had to pay a operating-tavern-without-license fine, and then a fine from the landlord....so about one weekend's revenue. Cops let us slide on the selling-to-minors part, I'm guessing because they took the $300 we had in the cash box by the door...a fair trade. Pretty crazy when you throw the ridiculously huge parties.

no, if like they heard someone coughed, and there were already 5 ppl in the door way (the amount of ppl i said were there) then we were screwed.

somehow, the drunks in the basement were also smart enough to cover the basement window so they couldnt see in.

i was happy when i saw that.

Getting drunk does not mean you are stupid. You do get respect for doing it yea. Most others would want to get drunk. They like the fact that you do drive. I mean why would anyone want to force you to drink. However that does not set you above anyone else.

This sounds like a case the ACLU or whatever they're called would love to handle: how to help retards escape jail. :p
