Last night I saw 'Top Hat'

NuclearNed

Raconteur
I saw it on TCM. What a great movie - it absolutely charmed me. I've been humming the songs all day. Fred was one smooth cat, and Ginger wasn't hard on the eyes at all. Like everyone says, their dancing is incredible. There was a lot of gentle humor throughout, and the plot was great.

I'm going to have to check out more from this duo.

Do you still respect me?

havent seen that movie.

but old movies rock.

Audrey Hepburn is stunning.

They don't make 'em like those anymore. It's not nostalgia, it's true. Today it's about who can get the biggest explosions, greatest CGI or the fanciest slow motion martial arts moves for the most part. 🙁

Yep, I like them. If you watch closely, you realize that those are really really long takes on his dancing, no little chopping up to make them look good. He (& partner!) really did that stuff, real time. Awesome.

Some of the plots make no sense at all. Who cares.

I just rented Mr. Smith goes to Washington and Spartacus from Netflix. Enjoyed them both.
