Last minute gift idea? Sharp Plain Paper Fax $49 or $39 after rebate at Costco

This Sharp UX-355L has been posted before as cheap as $19 from Staples, but Costco B&M is much more painless because Costco is not suck. It's $79.99 + tax. The Costco $30 rebate prints out on your receipt and does not seem to require the original UPC. There is also a Sharp rebate of $10 that does require the UPC here:

Costco sells the ribbons for this machine at the price of $28 for four of them, and each prints about 200 pages. That's 25% of the price charged at Staples and other venders. Cost per page for printer ribbon if purchased at Costco is 3.5 cents a page.

You need the original UPC code for the Sharp rebate. It won't hurt to send in a copy with the Costco either.

Thanks for the heads up. I probably won't even use one ribbon, but I'll pick up the refills anyway just in case Costco runs out and decides not to sell them any more. They also have good deals on Epson inkjet refill cartidges, much cheaper than buy.com.

The prices Costco has for printer supplies like Epson, HP, Lexmark, etc. are INCREDIBLE!!

So are their prices for ALL office supplies. And their return policy is unbelieveable. They beat the crap out of Staples, OM, OD, etc for supplies.

HOWEVER, if Staples will PM, then you can use a $25 off $75, and you can get the $40 and $10 rebates in addition, you can get the machine for $5 plus about $5 in tax, ALTHOUGH you have until midnight of 12-24 to get this done.
