First time upgrading in about 3 years. I would like to overclock a bit (3.2-3.6), nothing extreme. Will be using an arctic cooling freezer 7 from ewiz. I heard some rumor that the current batch of 6600 don't oc very well.

Processor:

E6600 for 235 at zzf now or wait for E6420 at ?$ (currently out of stock at blt, buy.com, and deactivated at newegg)?

MB:

Asus P5B vanilla ($120 +ship at the egg) or Gigabyte DS3 3.3 (120 at clubit)

Ram

Supertalent ddr2-800 T800UX2GC5 rated at 5-5-5-15 (100 +tax ewiz). Thinking of going 4gb at this price (got a copy of Vista business on the shelf atm)... or should I buy something better?

Thanks in advance

There is supposed to be a price reduction on intel products on April 22nd, just a couple days and it looks like ~10-20% reductions. So I would wait until Monday at least to see how things pan out.

Oh no! I too am planing to buy a 6600 on my next build and a rumor that it doesn't OC well is painful to read! do you have more info? links? :( as for the price cuts I thought it I read here that the 6600 was going to drop to $229 and it looks like ZZF is dropping their price early?
