Last Impreza Year Before Model Change?

What was the last year the Impreza had the old body before they changed it?

I'm interested in an older 2.5 RS, but I'd like to know the last year it was made. I don't like the newer style ones.

If you are looking for a 2001 or newer 2.5RS, be aware that very few were made and sold, and that good ones are hard to find. In fact, there were only 1,700 sold in 2001 in the entire US.

GD Impreza's are fugly compared to the older GC impreza's. Even after they changed the headlights.

We almost bought a 2001 2.5RS, nice little car. I'm damn glad we didn't though. The new model kicks ass. A 2003/2004 2.5 Impreza sedan (not WRX) is everything it was and more.
