Last good book you read (pleasure reading, not work/school related)

I'm just wrapping up Stephen King's Thinner. I love his older stuff. I've got a beautiful hardcopy of Hearts in Atlantis that I finished last week. That was good, but kind of a "Look At ME!!" effort. The touching on the Gunslinger books in it was really pointless.

Re-read Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk. I really wish they would say to hell with sensitivity to terrorist and religious -related subject matter and make a movie out of it already.

I just read Ender's Shadow, Shadow of the Hegemon, and Shadow Puppets (the second trilogy of the enders game series) this was last week.

i thought they were very interesting. Worth reading.

i am now reading Red Mars again.

Deadlock by William Cross.

Speaking of C.S. Lewis (just saw your sig), I finished Out Of The Silent Planet today and don't think I "got" it. This sucks.

The Guardian by Nicholas Sparks..

same dude who wrote Message in a Bottle and A Walk to Remember.

yea yea...sappy romance girly stuff...but his stuff really is pretty good. It's not his fault Hollywood killed his talent by making bad movies..bleh.

"Human, All Too Human" by Friedrich Nietzsche. (Yes, I read philosophy for fun.) I would have said "Beowulf" but I "had to" read that for a course, as though a person wouldn't want to read "Beowulf" for fun.

ZV

Da Vinci Code was awesome.

I'm working on Angels & Demons (prequel to davinci code), but I got sidetracked by "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" (good book, fast read).

I forgot...I still haven't read that one. Is it any good? I'm getting kind of tired of all his characters being pretty much the same.

Reading (Armageddon), The 11th book of the Left behind series now. I Started the series 6 months ago. It's the most fiction reading I've did in such a short period. The final book (Glorious Appearing) will come out in March 30, 2004. I guess I will drag this one I'm reading out.
