I am going to buy AMD Athlon 1.2 133 FSB this Wednesday.

1: I found out that actually i have PC100 RAM, what happen if I don't upgrade to PC133? Will it crash? I understand the ratio is 133:133.

2: Do I need to upgrade my HDD ?

Thanks.

you have to make sure that your ram can support 133mhz
if it cant chances are it wont post
make sure your mobo supports 133mhz fbs as well
everything else should be fine

No you don't need to upgrade your hdrive. If you don't get pc133 ram then it will crash. I recommend you ge tsome crucial 256mb pc133 cas2 ram.

cant he run his comp at 100fsb (12x100)? but then what would be the point of getting a 133fsb chip.. so yeah.. get better ram.. my experience with crucial is they sent me 2-256meg pc133 cas2 ram which both goes to pc150 cas2(222)~!!(maybe i just got really lucky) i highly recommend

if you got some high quality pc100 ram, maybe it will be able to handle 133, but most likely not any higher.. so maybe you should try it out before you buy new ram
oh yeah.. also like hellboy said(haha).. get a kt133a motherboard for optimal performance
