Last few MHZ

My Duron 700 is stuck at 950!! I want a gig. It is already running at 1.85 volts on a kt7-raid. It will post and almost load windows at 1ghz but it either restarts or freezes. Can someone help me get that last 50mhz out of it!! BTW I am using a fop38 to cool it. HELP!!

Close your L7 bridges. Try it, it's probably the last thing. 🙂

You might want to check your FOP sink, mine is far from flat, the aluminium grain is very rough.
I'm going to lap mine today, hopefully it'll run cooler 🙂

Mine is currently running 31 celcius at idle. So i don't think heat is the probelm, but its worth a shot.

Copper spacers typically do not help your cause, from a thermal standpoint as they tend to help retain heat around the core.

On the L7's...yes close all of them. 🙂

I also get an invlaid system disk error when oc'ed to a ghz. I don't know why. MAybe this wil help solve my problem.

The CPU is probably at it's limit.

I filled in the L7's. Still doesn't run any higher than 950. I just got a new asus a7v133 and it still doesn't run any higher. Would a new bios help?

Well I had someone get 200MHz more from a Tbird I tested. They had the same board as you, got frustrated and got the IWill KK266, came back told me he had gotten up to speed. He also told me not to recommend that Asus board to anyone. :Q
