So my wife and I will be welcoming our second little one into the world tomorrow. As a casual observer in the process, I am really excited. My wife on the other hand, not so much.

I cringe to ask, but do any of you have any tips for managing two kids? And before someone suggests it, no. I am not selling one of them for hookers and blow.

First off, you're going FROM man to man TO zone defense. Well, you can still run man-press with two, but you have to make your reads correctly.

You'll find that playing a combination man-zone will work a lot better provided your Mike can make the right adjustments at the line.

For reference, I have 5 and we just play a prevent defense the whole game. Bend but don't break, and all that jazz. We hardly ever have any big plays on us... but when we do they're spectacular.

Congrats! The wife and I welcomed our second 4 months ago, a lot will depend on how far apart they are...ours are only 15 months so it's divide and conquer, if your first is a little older things can be easier, but it's still a ton of fun:D

I hear Manning is looking for a new gig, maybe he could play a few quarters for you or a least give you some pointers.

There really isn't a way to tell you this without some info. How old is your older one, what kind of kid is it, needy or independant? My oldest liked doing his own thing, so it made it fairly easy on me at nights when I was home alone with both of them. Congrats on the new baby.

Sibling rivalry is very real and if it weren't for that, I would have two perfect little daughters. They are 1 1/2 years apart in age.

I've got three myself ... and the best advice I can give is to make sure at least one of you gets a good sleep every night. Makes it so much easier to deal.

Let your wife play the point - She calls the shots.
You play goalie - Your job is to keep them in play.

(You will also be second-fiddle for quite some time - If a child is in need of a parent, you are never the first choice, even if you are the only choice. This does change a little as they get into grade-school age, but only for boys. Girls still prefer mommy.)

And always remember MotionMan's Rule No. 1 of Children: Do not give anything to a child that you want returned in the same condition.

Congrats buddy. I have no advice, but you can come hide at my house any time you need to.

Congrats! We have 2 and a half year old triplets. We went zero to sixty if you will..

As someone mentioned earlier if your the one that has to work the day job make sure your wife gets enough rest since in reality you will have a much easier day.

We had to get help or we would have lost our minds altogether. Colic almost killed us.

My son turned 3 a few days ago. He is wicked excited for his baby brother/sister to arrive (we don't know the sex).

Son is 3. Fairly independent but definitely a bit of a daddy's boy. Particularly in the summer when he can go outside and play.
