What's up guys!

Tomorrow is my last day of work at my summer internship. How should I go about leaving? Should I get a gift for my boss? and if so, what should I give him. He is the IT director that manages a body of 300 people here in this company. If anyone has any input, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks.
Tommy

Tell him you are very grateful for the wonderful opportunity to work this summer. You learned a lot from him, and you hope to see him agian.

Kick him in the b*lls and tell him what a miserable pr*ck he was to work for...

OR, shake his hand, and thank him for the great opportunity. MAYBE schmooze for a chance again next summer...

Union tactisc don't apply in office situations

I'd hand-write a thank you note to him. Also, hand-write thank you notes to the administrative assistants and anyone else that worked with you or assisted you. Try to thank each person for something specific that they did while you were there.

Heck, you NEVER do that on a Union job...unless you really mean it...You just MIGHT get dispatched to work for them again...😉 (been there, done that...sort of) I've told off a few superintendants over the years...only to get dispatched to work there a year or so later...needless to say, it wasn't always a good thing...HOWEVER, sometimes, totally burning the bridge to the ground just FEELS GOOD, and is worth any backlash...

I bought the department a bunch of cakes, biscuits, crisps and savorys.

It is a custom in our department to buy stuff like this when you come back from holiday.

Tomorrow is my last day of work also.
