1. What's a good size for a college bulletin board poster? My design has to be portrait though, not landscape. I have no idea where to start, what's a common size above 8.5" x 11"? (I want it to be like twice as big but is that available? maybe I should talk directly with Kinkos)
2. Let's say I wanted a full, picture-heavy design with no borders in print, this can be done as easy as setting the width and height of the image in photoshop in inches, save it as JPG, bring it to Kinkos, match the same size paper then print? If yes, you're telling me there will be no borders at all and what will be printed is what I see on the monitor with no discrepency? I'm just still having nightmares from old MS Word days....
3. What's a good dots-per-inch for printing? (to avoid grainy texts). Is 180 good?
4. Anything else I should be cautious about from monitor-to-print transition?
