Last coffee filter this morning...

Kinda spooky, don't ya think?

I must have started months ago with a couple of hundred filters.

The odds of them running out on the last day of 2006 are a bit unsettling.

Coffee filter? Real men eat it right out of the container with their bare hands.

nah, real men snort it.

I am not worthy

man cards go in the bin on the right, thanks.

Okay.. do they issue tampons near the bin or do I have to go somewhere else?

Oh no, you get them right there, but only AFTER you turn in your card.

Whoa! Coffee filters were on sale, so I stocked up. It wasn't until later that I realized, "what did I do that for???" I have almost 6 years worth of coffee filters; in fact, less than 2 weeks shy of 6 years.

OMG! My coffee filters are going to run out on December 21, 2012 - which coincides with the last date on the Mayan calendar. THAT's when the world is going to end.

My toothpaste is going to run out then.

You are funny! That's exactly what I came in here to say. Yes the Mayan calendar says the world will end soon, though I did not know the exact day. I'll consult with a Mayan shaman in Guatemala for details.

If you can find one that fits your coffee pot get a gold mesh filter and quit buying paper filters altogether. You will be surprised at how much better coffee tastes without adding bleached paper to it.

we've got one of those filters; the last sip of coffee always has very fine gounds in it. (Not that I mind too much)

Hmmm, a couple of things I've noted in this thread...

First, if you run out of coffee filters, you CAN substitute a paper towel as a makeshift filter for emergency use until you get your lazy ass to the store for more...😉

Next, if you run out of toilet paper, you can substitute a coffee filter for emergency use...(ick) but you CAN'T substitute toilet paper for a coffee filter... 🙂

Next, those "gold mesh filters" suck...they allow WAY too many fines into the coffee, and that last cup or so ends up with the consistency of mud...

We have used Bunn coffeemakers for years, and the "cheapo" filters don't work well in them. you WILL end up with grounds in your coffee if you use them...you HAVE to use Bunn filters...but, they're cheap enough, (about $1/100) so I keep 3-4 boxes on hand all the time. Usually buy one or 2 everytime I hit the local Target store. (only place to get them is Target or Wally-world, and I don't shop there)
