My optomotrist was actually telling me i was a perfect candidate for lasik the other day. Said his wife just got it with the new wavefront technology.

One of my co-workers had it done a few months ago and she's so glad she did.

It was around $4k for both eyes which she financed.

Had it done back in April for about $4k.
Haven't regretted it since.
My vision was very bad before. I couldn't legally drive without glasses. Now I've got 20/20 and all the ladies find me irresistable :D

A good friend of mine just got it done on Friday. He hasn't fully recovered yet so I can't make any claims yet. However, I can ask him again in a week for an update when things should be normal.

Thank's for the responses.

My insurance will pay 2,200 total. I've heard some bad stories, but a lot of good ones too. That's why I am concerned.

I looked up a lot of sites, and recieved conflicting opionions.

Let hear your bad stories you have heard. Personally I don't know anyone that had it that it turned out bad.

I've heard about 95% positive feedback from most forums on the subject. I'm not too familiar with the different types of LASIK though.

I had Custom Lasik last January. I was a -5.25 in both eyes, and I now see 20/20. I still suffer mild dryness, especially after waking up, but it was worth every penny.

Make sure you factor eye drops into your budget. They're pretty damn expensive.

i had it done about 4 years ago and it was only 1400.

wasn't the top of th eline procedure, but it was all I could afford.

as others have said, i couldnt legally drive without glasses, and now I have "near" 20/20. Other factors that lasic couldnt fix have held me back from 20/20. I get halos at night sometimes, especially if I've been behind a computer. But they look cool.

edit for lack of positive feedback.

OMG ITS A MIRACLE> I might go back for a touch up procedure in 10 years...... maybe..

Vision fluctuated for me over the past year, but has settled. You'll still need reading glasses when you get older, unless you do something like monovision.

I highly recommend that you thoroughly research where you get your Lasik procedure done.

Research, research, research and then research some more!
