yep, there have been at least 2 long LASIK threads in the last year.

Me: 2% chance of "complications" is way too high for the only pair of eyes I've got.

2% change? Not sure if that is an overall thing or not. I know certain doctors who I have heard recommended hundreds of times. They also regularly update their lasers, training, and don't try to cut corners. I would rather pay 3000 thousand an eye for a great job instead of 700 an eye for a good job. I am still waiting to see more data.

My mother had Lasik done, actually had to have it done twice because it didn't take properly the first time.

She loves it now and has great vision.

oh, after, I would say never if you take good care of it

the other thing is that I am pre-mad student, soon the MCAT and med-school.
no way in hell I have all that money to pay for it. thinking about navy, they will pay for most of yet.
I get to spend 4 years with them. I wanted to join the service anyway.
They dont allow eye surgerys before join the service.
But, I am sick of glasses and contacts, esp, in the summer
