laserjet- ink cartridges

Hey fellahs-

Have you guys ever used those remanufactured ink cartidges for laser printers.

I have an HP Laserjet 1200 series. I hate to waste $$$...would buy remanufactured ink cartridges and save money...but I'm worries that maybe they are no good. Have you guys tried them? Know any good websites to buy them?

Thanks!

Laserjets don't use ink cartridges. They use toner cartridges. And, yes, I have used the remanufactured ones. In many cases they are superior to the originals because they usually replace the fuser roller with a better ceramic one.

Sometimes you will get remanufacturer cartridges that give very slight imperfections on a printed page. Of course, this can happen with a brand new cartridge from the print maker but I don't think it will occur quite as often with the manufacturer's cartridges. You are taking a chance either way.

But for instance, a remanufactured cartridge which I recently purchased for $30 cost over $90 from HP. At 1/3 the price, I would say it is worth the gamble. In any case you could "possibly" return the remanufactered cartridge if it is defective.

LOL! QFT! You need to understand a bit more about printers before you do anything BUT have a professional replace your toner

(that post in the Video forums "whats the stupidest thing you heard someoen say about video cards... this goes under the printer version!)
