Sorry, it really sucks. You should give it to me so my family members will stop using my Laserjet 4050 to print over the network. 😀
Seriously, that printer rocks. You really pulled something off there. It is the same as the LJ4050 that I have, except that it has a 100MHz instead of a 133MHz RISC processor in it (which is plenty fast enough), and yours has a network port built in (hence, the N). The 4000/4050 series was THE finest regular format workgroup laser HP ever made that wasn't just too big for home use, until they came out with the 4100 series last year (which looks strangely identical to the 4000/4050, prints a little faster, and for some crazy reason uses a different number cartridge, with costs a lot more, and looks almost exactly like the one for the 4000/4050 - methinks they put some sort of a little plastic bump on it somewhere so that 4100 cartridges won't fit the 4000/4050 and vice versa so they could raise the price of cartridges again). You can get a 10,000 (yes, TEN THOUSAND) page print cartridge for these things, new, for about $130 ($80-$100 if you visit the hot deals forum and know how to look for bargains - it is the 4127X). Anyway, you have a great printer there. And for free? How did you pull that one off? Congrats.
