Im looking for a new Laser Printer for my office. It needs to have a good cost per page and be reliable. I was also maybe looking at getting a printer with built in lan card..

MAX cost is $800

I was looking at the Dell Workgroup Laser M5200n

I was wondering if anyone knew of a better printer for same price or less?

I havent really heard anything about dell printers but according to the specs and the price of print cartridges it seems good..

Thanks for any info :)

I believe Dell laser printers are made by Lexmark. I think HP would probably be your best bet. You can get a really good one for your budget. I recommended a LaserJet 1300 at my last job and it cost about $400. Their toners are pretty cheap and come built in with a drum so you're not stuck paying for both a toner and a drum. Hope this helps.

EDIT: See here too

Tell me more one what you are looking for in a printer. How many people using, duplex, extra tray, volume, etc?

Its for a small office so i wont be printing to much. But i want a quality printer thats reliable and cheap per page....

So is the dell a bad choice for this? Thing I liked about the dell was if the printer breaks they will send someone out to fix it the NEXT day.. Thats always nice. But if HP really is a better printer in terms of reliability then i guess ill go HP! :)

Dell service has gone downhill and the Dell is actually made by Lexmark. On the ink jet side, the Dell cartridges are a slightly different shape than the equivalent Lexmark ones so you are forced to buy replacement carts from Dell. I don't know if they did anything like that on the laser side. IAC, I wouldn't buy a printer from Dell on principle. But Lexmark themselves have always been known for very good laser printers ever since they split from IBM.
. There is a new review of budget laser printers on the PC Magazine web site- www.pcmag.com -if that might help. I sort of like sound of the Panasonic that was reviewed there. Good luck.
