Aluvus,
Not the ACS per se, but the organization that did the research. IAC, it's hard to find an objective scientific journal any more - they've all been politically "correctified" just like the Nobel prizes.
It's more on what gets published and what gets left out (spiked) than anything else. Could anything be more absurd than Arafat and Gore winning peace prizes and outstanding researchers being left out of contention for the science and medicine medals simply because they work in industry instead of academe? The Nobel has been totally devalued except in the eyes of the ignorant. All very sad...

I'm sorry, but this is a blatant non sequitur. Some Nobel Prize awards have been politicized, therefore all scientific journals should be automatically written off? WTF?
The ACS is the organization that controls that journal. If you want to talk about "what gets published and what gets left out", then you are talking about the ACS.
Or maybe the "agenda-driven" agents here are the people that did the study. They work variously for the Queensland University of Technology and Queensland Department of Public Works. I guess the government of Australia hates laser printers?
Your criticisms here are not only invalid, but reckless: you appear to be writing off a scientific study without reading it, without addressing the peer-reviewed journal that it appeared in, and in effect without actually considering it in any way. The entirety of your argument seems to be that all peer-reviewed scientific journals should be ignored because of... the Nobel committee... for some reason.
If you want to question some part of the method of the study, or the way in which it drew its conclusions, then by all means
read it and tell us where it falls short. That is good science. "This is false because I say so" is bad science.
