Laser Printer recommendations?

I've recently come across these two Samsung printers: Samsung ML 1450 and Samsung ML 1440. Has anyone had experience with either of these printers? I've been looking to get a laser printer, and I'm leaning toward the ML 1450. I wanted the Brother printer but they're all going for about $279 and up. OfficeMax has it for $249, but including tax will bring it to about the same price as the Samsung printers. Any suggestions on a good sub $250 laser printer? I thought about the Lexmark and Samsun ML1250 and ML1430 but the toner is expensive and I've read that the paper can get stuck at times. Thanks in advance for any input.

I think the samsungs are the same as brothers. I have the brother HL-1440 and love it. much better than comparable HP's.
someone told me the brothers have better tech support or soemthing like that

there is a hot deals thread here hl-1440 for 199

Samsung laser printers have been getting rave reviews recently. PC Magazine should be having their annual printer issue out shortly (if not already) - look for it. The cheapest cost per page for a B/W printer will be found with the Kyoceras - they use separate toner refills and a long-life drum that shouldn't need changing for upwards of a million pages. If you print a lot, the up front cost will be repaid quickly. However, if you refill and refurbish all-in-one cartridge types of printers you can make the cost comparable.

Thanks for your input guys. I went with the OM Brother deal. Total came out to about $217. I really wanted the Samsung printer because it looked pretty cool to me, but the Brothers have been getting such reviews. I noticed that the Brother was PCL4 while the Samsung was PCL6. Any significant difference between the two?
