Are they shining them into peoples' eyes? Retina scarring is very bad. Non lethal doesn't mean not harmful, or temporary.

That cute essential little laser diode in your DVD drive/printer/PS3 etc has been put to more dynamic uses. Such as being used in trouble spots such as Iraq, Afghanistan and Liverpool.

This article gives full details on their use.

The article didn't specify how they used them. They said they shined them at a group of men-- not where on their anatomy.

Same technology, just more power.

You can buy low power laser pointers and "overclock" them, giving you more mW.

A failure to understand that running up on a checkpoint with uncertain intentions can be much worse, ie very permanent death.

Lazers, unlike hand signals or signs with symbols have a couple very distinct advantages for avoiding that problem. They are a strait lines of light, something not found in nature. The are a color of light, also not found in nature. The fact that these things are not found in nature trigger a very basic check on someones thought process. Stop and figureout wtf is going on before you do anything else.

Well I would hope they are shining the laser on the ground and not in peoples' eyes. However, IIRC, those green lasers may be powerful enough to cause eye damage even when reflected from a non specular surface like the ground.

Congratulations. You posted spam.

And considering that you only have 1 post, it makes me think you're either a spammer or just off to a really bad start.
