postscript: i just ordered 3 over the phone + some carpenter's pencils to get it over $29.99, used the $5 off and free shipping coupon and it worked just fine. No, I don't need 3 of these, but I've got a couple birthdays coming up, and they will make super gifts.

This looks like the one I got for free about three years ago from CyberRebates. I've seen these many places for between $30 and $40. I never did check it for accuracy, but it's well worth $10 just for the novelty.

YellowFiero, I've noticed a few posts from you for HF. If you don't already have one, you should consider a ITC membership. I think mine was $20 for the year and you can more than make that up with just one order.

I actually have this level/laser. I pikced it up from RadioShack awhile ago when it was on sale there. I built an addition recently with it, it works just fine.
BTW, the addition is still in one piece and standing, so I know everything was accurate with the level. :)

TheDon,
I shopped at HFT before and actually have one BM near my house but never consider ITC since I did not shop there everyweek. But what actually do you get for ITC beside better price catalog ?

for me it was like this:

laser level: 9.99 x 3 = 29.97
carpenter pencils = .99
handling fee = 5.95

coupon for free ship
and -$5.00 = -5.00

total: = 30.92

I got this from Radio Shack too.. it was $9.99 there too a while back. Works pretty nice, I've yet to hang a picture yet with it (something the woman reminds me of every weekend).

Mmmmm... welders... cheap. Something about watching Monster Gargage that just makes you NEED a welder.

$99 for the ARC-140.

Been living with JB-Weld up until now. JB-Weld is the wonder-compound, but it does not make bright sparks fly around when you use it.

Must.... resist... ---mouse icon hovers over the 'Add this crap you absolutely do not need to your basket' button---

I don't understand why. When I ordered mine, I called it in, so if you *really* want this, use the 800 number, that WILL work.
