<< Laserdisc offers better quality than VHS, for sure. It isn't anywhere near DVD, but it is superior to standard VHS tape captures. Just run the output from the LD to a capture device (Radeon VIVO works well) and either compress it on-the-fly (if you have a fast PC) or use TMPGEnc to encode it after you capture (on a slower machine.) >>
hmm, I'll argue that DVD video is better, but LD sound is much warmer.
