Las Vegas. Where to go and stay?!?

I hate to be an ass, but this has been asked about 50 times in the last 3 months.

Just do search for Vegas.
 
what's your budget?

i'm going tonight and coming back sunday. staying at ti for free. here's a rundown:

excellent: bellagio, venetian, mandalay bay
good: mgm, ti, regular caesars palace rooms, monte carlo, paris, ballys, aladdin, lv hilton
crap: tropicana, barbary coast, circus circus, travelodge

these are opinions on hotels i've stayed at.
 
i'm going there this weekend as well, for some reason its busier than usual. we were trying to find a room and a lot of places are sold out ( palms, mgm, golden nugget...) and a lot of the cheaper places are more expensive than usual. i think we're gonna end up staying at the fairfied resort? its cheaper and nicer, just not right on the strip. i'm going for the Stuff party at Rain so i figure i wont be on the strip much anways so it wont matter where i stay.

there's actually a convention this weekend. i think its a gift convention.
