What's going on in Vegas this weekend? I'm going with a bunch of people for my friend's birthday party and everything is so expensive. cheapest i found was boardwalk at about 140/night which is probably what i'm gonna end up getting.. I want something on the strip, since this will be my GF's first time in las vegas. I'll probably wait a few more weeks before i book to see if prices go down, but goddamn...

thats really expensive for vegas. maybe they are having a large convention? does football season have this large of an impact?

You should've seen it when I went there for CES last January. My friends got us rooms on Fremont St, but my gf and I tried to find a room for ourselves...Circus Circus wanted $350 (only rooms on the strip left).

I saw Stardust on Travelworm.com for 99/night which is pretty cool, but it says you have to call in to get that rate as opposed to all of the other hotels that you can book online... what's the difference when you have to call in? probably not gonna get it, huh?
