Taken from nbci.com:

<< NBC announced earlier today that drummer and co-songwriter from Metallica Lars Ulrich has agreed to be on a future episode of Friends and they have released a statement of what the plot of the story will be:

Lars meets Phoebe at the Central Perk, sees her singing and asks her out for a date. She asks what he does for a living as he says he is the drummer for the heavy metal band Metallica. She then asks who Metallica is and Lars gets kinda pissed. She then says she doesn't want to date him because he is so popular and everybody likes his band. Lars then starts stalking Phoebe and after Phoebe makes a song called "Bad Drummer Man Go Away", Lars underhandidly copyrights the song and then sues Phoebe for using it. All the friends try to help Phoebe, but are no match for the smart as sh*t Ulrich. They all end up homeless after spending too much money on court costs and end up living with Ross and Monica's parents. After the episode airs, NBC announced that they will change the series name to "Friends With Parents"

I hate it when non-actor celebrities do sitcoms. The acting's terrible and it makes me cringe watching such awful stuff...

this isn't real is it?

and doesn't anyone else find it sad that Jason Newstead left metallica? Sure they sold out on everything after the black album, but their old shit was great.

This almost sounds like something you would see on The Onion.

There was a good interview in Playboy with the members of Metallica where they all talked a bunch of trash about eachother. Lars said James Hetfield could not sing, James said Lars never won drummer of the year award for obvious reasons and they both agreed they were too hard on Jason Newsted. And Jason was pissed because if you are a member of Metallica, you are not allowed to do side projects. Yet, James was playing guitar on every one of Corrosion of Confomrity's albums.
