My parents bought a $1500 Karoake machine that we have used total of three times.

did that come as a surprise?

What.

that you used it a total of three times.

My mother incessantly purchases exercise equipment. Predictably, almost all of it just takes up space and never gets used.

The largest useless purchase I've made is an $8 set of tiny torx drivers I used a total of once to replace a hd in my powerbook.

This reminds me, I work in a Bakery and we bought this expensive ass specialty oven which cost $25,000-$30,000. We've used it once or twice to realize that the oven is too small and slow since we need to mass produce the bread.

Therefore our new oven is now a $30,000 shelving unit which we use to store miscellaneous crap 🙂

$300 HDTV tuner card for my PC

It's a cool gadget but my reception sucks. The card is currently sitting in a box under my bed.

A canon 10D and lens and stuff for around $5k or so. Used it for a couple months and then it got stolen 🙁 Now dont use it anymore 🙁

iMac. $800. Never did work right - CPU had to be replaced twice. Third time, I just gutted it and the chassis is sitting behind me and is for sale if anyone wants it.

In terms of physical size--it's gotta be a Sears workbench--I was going to make such wonderful stuff on it
