Largest Drive for k7s5a mobo

I'm still using a k7s5a motherboard from a few years back and have no real need for more cpu power right now, so I'd like to stay with it a bit longer.

But I do need more disk space and these 300GB drives look very attractivly priced. But I'm not sure if the k7s5a is limited to 137GB and, if it is, if there is any work around.

Anyone know?

What version of the K7S5A do you have? V.1, V.3, or V.5 (a.k.a. "Pro")?

Go to www.ecs.com.tw and look through their BIOS updates for your board version; their release notes should indicate if and which BIOS would provide large drive support. The latest BIOS is at the bottom of the page.

No offense, but you'd probably have better luck asking this in Tech Support or the Motherboard forum. Not much networking involved here..
