is there a case fan that is 150mm 12v? 180mm? Are there special larger server fans?
Where can I buy it? online?
I am not too concerned about noise since this will be setup on a server in another room.
thanks.

My roommate opted for an easier solution - take a 36" fan which costs about $15, then turn it on and open both sides of the case. At full power and the A/C on, the fan dropped my retail HSF temperature to about 32 degrees, and at load to 35. That's the most economical, albeit "ghetto" way of making a fan. :)

ok i am sorry for not clarifying...
I don't want the ghetto look I want a fan that can be mounted on a case.
I think I might go with 4 120mm fans.
2 intake 2 exhaust.
I was hoping for a larger say 150mm-180 mm fan then I would need only 2.

Holy crap! Thalasi, that person could just make a PVC pipe seat, afix it to the case, get some wheels, and fly away with an APC UPS. :D Plus, he/she could check their email while they're coasting.

Hahah, that's insane.

Hehehe. I'd hate to see what would happen if someone just used PVC piping and no grills/sides.

Here kitty kitty kitty. ;)

Anyone know where online I can get the 170mm fan???
How much do they run???
Thanks.

ps. I am building a custom system.
case/MB will be horizontal configuration:
24"x12"x1/2"
sides will be 12"x12"x1/2"
Clear Plexiglas
I was going to mount 2 fans on the sides ---these would be intake
one on top and one on the back exhaust.
going to get all the Sh1tzs for this box.
already have the donor mb/cpus dual 800 p3's with 1.5 gigs ram, 4 60 gig ide hd's (raid), cdr, DVD, zip, tape, cd-rom drives.
Going to get the ati 8500dv and use a pci card as a second. dual 17" lcd's. This is going to make an awesome development box!!!
DVD decoder card, sb aud plat.,
Anything else that I should add on ;)
