Large Heatsink Compatibility Issues - nForce 680i Boards?

I am considering doing a new system build with an ASUS P5N32-E SLI nForce 680i board, and I have been very fond of Zalman HSFs in the past, but I have heard that the 9500/9700 models have issues with the eVGA 680i board. Are these issues generic to the 680i architecture, or a result of something eVGA did that deviated from the norm?
