I'm about to buy either a 160/180Gb hard disk. I know is a size limitation of 128Gb (138Gb?) under the ATA-100 standard so:

a) I will be using Win98SE (O/S, FDisk, Format, etc.) , GhostPe (circa 1997), Partition Magic ver 5.0, with any of these not work beyond the 128Gb limit?

b) Maxtor use there ATA-133 standard which I believe gets around the problem but will I still have any problems with a).

c) I have a Gigabyte GA7-VAXP with raid which (I assume) using the RAID controller set to RAID 0 gets around this problem?

d) Or should I stick to a 120Gb and buy a second drive later?

Split it into a couple of smaller partitions, 2 80's or 4 40's or the like, that should do it.
