Does anyone know if I can RAID-1 250 or 300 G drives and partition them? Would like to split the drives 3 ways. C,F,G.

I am looking at Maxtor SATA 250s or 300s w/16m cache.

I will be putting them in a new AMD 64-3500+ machne.

Thanks

I was wondering the same thing. Why partition a RAID1 volume at all? If youre running RAID 1, just have it be one big partition dude.

well, partitioning makes it easiser to organize alrge ammounts of data. Not really something that folders cannot do but some people like to have the partitions. It is really just a matter of opinion. I see no reason why you couldn't though.
