I got a 1.1ghz Tbird. Idle temp is about 33C but when I put it underload, the temp goes to 49-50. Is this ok? Why is this?

It happens because the CPU is doing more work and more current is flowing through it. It happens.

Also if you are using a cpu cooling program, the difference will be greater becasue the idle temp will be lower than it would without the cpu cooling prog, yet the full load temp will be the same.

LIVAN:\>

I have the same difference betw idle and load temp, maybe even more.
(31 at idle, 50 at load (Unreal Tournament))
I don't think I have any form of software that cools the CPU at idle.
