Large dent in rear panel of Elantra

I'm looking at a used car that is for sale. The seller is not asking to much, but the car has a large dent (eight inches across) in the panel just above the rear wheel. The car is a 2004 model. Does anyone have any idea how much it would cost to repair such a dent?

Someone kicked in the rear quarter panel of our 2 week old car leaving a huge dent that looked like a bowling ball hit it. Had a paintless dent removal guy pop it out. Payed him $120. Did not look perfect but better than the $800 or so the the auto body shop wanted.

Like Miri said, you could look into paint less dent removal which will be cheaper. If you go the body shop route they'll repair the dent and paint the entire quarter panel. It all depends on the color of the car and the condition of the paint but it usually takes painting the adjacent panels (trunk lid, door, dogleg) to get the color to match. Rough estimate, anywhere from $600-$1000.
