Lara Croft: Lame Raider.

I just got back from this movie. It really sucked. I mean i wasn't expecting much when I went in there, but this movie really did blow. It's got a plot that goes nowhere, the action is so fake and there's this damn Brit in the movie that is so hideous that any pleasure gained from thinking about Jolie is completely reveresed when this ass comes on the screen.

You've heard the reviews..they said this movie would suck. I don't really care much for reviews and I gave this movie a chance but it has no redeeming value.

If you wanna see Jolie so bad..save your money and go rent "Gia."

LOL. I'm pretty surprised. Didn't Ebert give it a good rating? And the local television news reviewer gave it a decent rating too. That's after I saw the other thread about how much this movie sucked. I think I'll watch it after I watch some other movies like Atlantis. Just saw Evolution and that was pretty funny.

Well, I am expecting it to have basically no plot, but it's kinda disappointing to hear that the action is crap... damn. I should probably go see Fast and the Furious, or that new one with Jet Li (not sure the title)..

I just got back from it too. I'm disappointed in it but its not as horrible as everyone makes it out to be.

actually I have a friend that said she saw fast and furious a week or so ago at a pre-screening (she is a motor head so its like...look pretty cars...type thing) she said they managed to fit alot of racing and a plot in at the same time :0

but tomb raider blew horribly at the begining it wasn't to bad and then it just kinda went down hill.....im like oh this is OK not great i guess it will get better...but it didnt'

I agree this movie sucked hardcore.

But damn is she hot...

Swordfish was an awesome movie though. I loved the explosion at the beginning where the camera did all the funky effects when it spun around in slow-mo.

I actually just walked in from seeing it, myself. I loved it. Well, the movie sucked; the acting sucked; the casting sucked (for the most part); the action/coreography sucked; the dialogue sucked; the whole thing sucked.


But Lara made the movie good.

I just saw it with him and he is right. Except for Angelina the movie was horrid. It was a big let down!

Oh yeah, you know the second shower scene? When they lowered the camera, everyone was like &quot;Get ready... there she is again&quot; but all of a sudden you realize it was a guy taking a shower. All the guys were like &quot;Ahhhh....&quot; And all the girls were giggling.


I'd give it 3.5/5. The plot sucked (duh!) but that?s not the reason I went to see it.

Heck yeah! That's a kicka@@ movie. I loved how they did the opposite of rocky iv, where they showed the americans training in facilities while the koreans were training out in the woods and rivers. The sequels sucked though.

pg 13 probably helped kill it they tried for an R rated kinda movie and toned it down i think thats why the action scenes sucked so much, its like there are parts missing.

supposedly it cost 80 million? i think thats what i saw on imdb, i just dont' get it...doesn't look like an 80mil bux film

actually, i thought tomb raider was going to reek, and though it did eventually, the
first two-thirds were well-paced and crisply edited. it moved well, almost fluidly,
and while there wasn't an intelligent word to be found, the actors seem to be having
fun, which helped the film's ambience. the sets were disneyland knock-offs. the
ending was atrocious and in the viewing i attended, filled with twentysomething's
and younger, the film even managed to generate a few unintended laughs. ouch

well, i went to see tomb raider last night. now that my flame suit is on i'll say that i liked it. it reminded me of the indiana jones movies, although i will admit that tomb raider wasn't that good. tomb raider was an average movie, but i went to it expecting to be entertained &amp; i was. angelina jolie was simply cool as lara croft; i loved how she played it! i had never seen her act before, and was impressed. and like every other guy here, i gotta add that she's worth looking at for 2 hours

I don't know about you but Rob Schneider is one of the funniest guys out there. &quot;duce biggalo&quot; was a classic, all around family flick. His short role &quot;Big Daddy&quot; was also an Oscar worthy performance. Anyway, Rob Schneider rocks and I think &quot;The Animal&quot; is gonna be a really funny movie.
