the situation (brief)

* have a nice computer, check my sig link, games are boring at the minute and im increasingly finding i dont have time to play them anyway.

*games played and finished and or bored of/cant stand....Flatout, Splinter cells,Farcry,D3,Q4, HL, HL2, CS:S,NFS:MW,COD2,Act of War,COD,RTCW,UT2004,BF2

either games are just pure garbage (like most movies....promising trailer, shite film) or im actually losing interest altogether.

*id reckon my computer usage goes 90% work, net, video, music, photo 10% games.

15.4inch, core duo, 160gb HDD, 1Gb DDR, GF7400, seems reasonable. id hope to get near £1000 from the sale of my rig
 
Well if you think portability > upgradeability/power, then go for it. I was considering getting a laptop for work experiance in norway. Then i decided i dont wanna go to norway or sell my rig 🙂

I cant vouch for the quality of sony vaio laptops, but the specs are certainly decent.
