I want to get a nice laptop and ive been lookin around for a few weeks and just today i was telling my buddy what i wanted in a laptop and he told me to look into a Sager. I really liked what i found when i customized the Athlon 64 one. Do any of you guys have other suggestions for me. Heres what i want

7200rpm HD
17inch or 15.4 inch screen
1 gig of ram
Thats basically it for what i really want and for what i would prefer it to have:

Tv Tuner
DVD Burner
Bluetooth wireless

Also how does the ATI 9700 stack up with the other notebook video cards out now?

Gotta go for a dell Inspiron 9300. I love Athlon 64's (Running one in my gateway 742gx laptop right now), but the dell has an unreal video card (Geforce 6800) great processor (P-M up to 2.13 ghz), and if you find a coupon on the web, you can pick up a loaded one for around $1600. It will blow that sager out of the water in every respect from application speed, multimedia, screen quality, and gaming.

-Good Luck

Best bang for the buck is definitely the Dell 9300/XPS Gen 2 with $750 off coupon. Note however, that currently the LCDs on the 9300/XPS 2 aren't so hot. A lot of issues with "Light Leakage" (as seen here). My i9300 has that issue and so far Dell has been very good in helping me through the issue at no cost to me. We'll see how it ends though ahha. 😛

My 9300 has a tiny bit of light leakage, and I couldn't care less, but it has no dead pixels, no "sparklies" and the display is fantastic!

Also check out the new Fujitsu Lifebook N6200(?) series. I'm using an N3510 15.4" model and it is very nice. I think the 6200's come with X600 graphics
