I know I already posted once about this, but after some research I was wondering if anyone here could help out:

I'm looking for a laptop with a UXGA or WUXGA screen (reallllly purdy :) ), a P-M or A64, at least 512 ram, 7200 rpm hdd, radeon 9700 or better, and preferably a spare battery :)

I checked Dell, where I could get one but with a P4 3.4 which I would think may eat more juice than I'd like. There is a Sony at Best Buy with less ram (512), a lil' worse VC (9700 64MB vs 128) and a P-M 1.7, but it costs the same as the dell and has no spare battery - also, the best buy guy said it had a 5400 rpm hdd, but i dunno cause he said they don't make 7200 rpmers for laptops so he doesn't know what he's talking about :) Anyway, these were the only options I could find with WUXGA display.

Should I just go for the Dell, or mebbe the Sony? Also, does anyone know where to find a computer with the given specs other than the Sony Viao as noted?

The perfect config would be: P-M 1.7+ GHz, 60-80 GB 7200 rpm HDD, radeon 97/9800, 1GB ram, and of course, a WUXGA display (either 15.4 if they make 'em or 17 in. wide)

- Thanks

I don't know if FS/FT rules apply here but I think you might be able to only bump once every 4 hours.

Anyways, I really would not buy any computer from Best Buy. Everyone there is an idiot and the products blow. There is only one good reason to buy from Best Buy. My friend bought a laptop a while ago and he bought the extended service plan. Since then, he has traded it in for new laptops twice. The reason why his laptop kept "breaking" was because he knew nothing about it and would install viruses and such. It was all software related but he bitched enough to get new laptops. Word of caution, at one best buy he went to they refused the return like 5 times. Then he just went back to the one by his home and they gladly replaced it.

For those kinds of specs, you are looking at a Dell, Sager, or Alienware. Browse around and you should find something.
