My friend has to get a new laptop for College and he needs my help, but i dont know much of anything about laptops. So, who makes decent laptops? I have another friend who got a HP but it broke (crashed many times a day, had to sys restore everytime) so im going to steer clear of those. Any ideas? Thanks, heres minimum specs, which will be adhered to, since hes pretty poor.
pentium 4- 2.0 ghz, 512k level 2 cache, or a pentium centrino 1.3 gihz 1mb level 2 cache, 256 megabytes of memory, 20 gig. harddrive, 20-10-24x CD-RW, at leasts 14' screen, a combo 10/100 ehternet card with V.90 56kbs modem, and 8702.11bmbps integrated or PCMCIA card
(Also, i have a spare Orinioco 11Mbit/s wireless network card, would that work for the one needed above?) Thanks alot!
