About half the laptops currently being sold have transflective screens. I doubt any of them are comfortably readable in direct sunlight. Gateway's transflective screens don't seem to be quite as glare-inducing as the Dell ones, but nothing's really ideal in the sun.

I've seen people using the word "transflective" all the time, and I think they're often referring to the shiny "BrightView"-like screens.
So, do these transflective laptops usually advertize it as such? Are all Apples transflective? Is it even possible to have a transflective screen that also looks good indoors?
