I'm considering buying a laptop, but am having trouble deciding what is the most important feature, power or battery life.
I want to be able to play games well (though clearly not at desktop level) with the latest video car, but still be able to carry it around to class, and do work on it without being tied to a wall, there seems to be very little middle ground.
I'll take the Alienware models (great quality) as an example.....
The high end Area 51m

The P4m Cpus are much better at conserving battery life when not plugged in, and are nearly as fast as the regular P4's, but I never see the faster Radeon 9000 gpu bundled with the P4m. Am I not looking in the right place or am I going to be stuck going one way or the other.
Which way would you go, knowing that either gaming performance or battery life would suffer, given that an outlet would always be around when gaming?
