Ok, I can't keep the desire to buy a laptop any longer...I want one dammit.

Problem is, I'm not sure of the best laptop manufacturer. I have heard good things about Dell's laptops and thats the first thing that popped into my head.

Then I thought about Micron, but they seemed to be a little more pricey than Dell. Sony Vaios look really cool but they're more pricey too.

What about Compaq?

Just need a little input on who makes the most reliable/reasonably priced laptop, any help of course appreciated

Dell, Sony, and IBM are the best, IMHO. If you want a mad nice screen, get a VAIO. Otherwise, it doesn't matter - all three brands are good.

You are forgetting Toshiba, their laptops are nice, especially the Tecra line.

Dells look really cool and they are the unofficial computer of Metal Gear Solid. Yup that is how pathetic I am that I could tell what computers were used in that game. They were Dell workstations and laptops.
