Laptop won't turn on

Ok this is what I have, its a Toshiba 5205-S503 and a friend of mine had it and now it will not turn on, no evidence of the power reaching the unit at all.

What would you look for to fix it? I'm pretty good with desktops, but no idea on this one. Let me know!

Your friend had it and now it won't turn on? Did you ask him? I would not be surprised if he spilled something through the keyboard and fried the mobo. That happens all the time.

yeah as far as i know it was dropped, i cant find anything, i took it pretty much entirely apart...

If he dropped it, he could have done a lot of damage. Harddrive could have broken(reason why Thinkpads have shock protection), motherboard could have shorted, other possible damage. Dropping a laptop is very bad.

yeah im going with i think it shorted cause visually it doesnt appear anything is damaged. such a shame, its a nice machine too.
