what's up guys...i have a gateway solo 1450 laying around....when it's plugged in, the LED in the front turns red but won't turn on.....i tried turning it on with it plugged in and battery plugged in, tried it with just the battery plugged in, tried it plugged in without the battery....nothing worked. I checked the battery with a multimeter and it has a charge, i checked the to see if the plug on the board where the cooling fan plugs in has power, it does....is there anything else i can check or do you think the motherboard is fried. If it is, is there any way to check and see what exactly is wrong with it?

Any help is greatly appreciate as usual.
Thanks

hey there. I tried looking all over, most people just replaced the motherboard and it worked. I'd like to be able to test the motherboard somehow but don't know where to start. I know it's getting power throughout the board, and it charges the battery. Other than that, i don't know much. When I push the power button, nothing happens, not a single thing. Any clue?
Thanks
