So my girlfrined last used my laptop, shut it down, and closed it. No errors or anything.

Now the thing won't turn on.... Its an IBM Latitude CPX. Anyone have any idea on how i can figure out what te hell is causing it not to tunr on?

It won't power on, I press the power button nothing happens. I don't even think she touched the power button when she turned it off, just shutdown and closed the monitor.

1. IBM does not make a Latitude....... DELL does. Biggest insult you could give to IBM btw. 😀

2. Pop the covers on the bottom of the unit or you may need to remove the keyboard. Somewhere there you will find the CMOS battery..... Remove it and let the system site for 24 hours or better. Really depends by system, sometimes you might actually find shorting blocks/pins near the Battery. Doing this may just wake your system up and everything will be as it should though you might want to investigate getting a new CMOS battery if that was the case. Doesn't mena this is the problem, but it is somewhere to look.
