hey i have a Compaq 1700T and for some reason or another it will NOT take any OS from 98 to XP Pro. im leaning towarda bios problem but i cannot find an update anywhere.any one else have any ideas to what this problem maybe...other than being a crappy compaq
 
yes....it will boot off the cd but then i get an error in the install...i have tried like 6 cds all of which i know work for a fact
