Laptop Won't Boot

Laptop has a HDD and a M.2 SSD and running Win 10. Been booting exclusively from the SSD for the last 6-months. Today I wanted to boot from the HDD via F12 in BIOS, didn't work. Went into BIOS and enabled F12.

From that point on it wouldn't boot. Disabled F12 and put BIOS back to where it was, no boot. Says no boot drive.

Tried removing both drives then installing only the SSD . . . still no boot.

Please suggest some steps to help me recover.

Thanks for looking.
