Laptop with ergonomic keyboard?

Does anyone make a laptop with an ergonomic keyboard? I am so addicted to Microsoft Natural keyboards, I have terrible cramps within minutes of using a regular flat keyboard. I'd like to buy a laptop but it doesn't make sense to carry around a big honking MN keyboard with it.

Any tips on how to solve this?

Carry an ergonomic keyboard with you. No one makes a split keyboard on a laptop.

Something like this is about the best you can do with a laptop:

The problem is one of size and space. And, also, the Microsoft Natural Keyboard is patented to MS, and not available to other OEMs.

In order to have a laptop with a split ergonomic keyboard, it would have to be too wide, and not be very marketable as a laptop.

Why doesn't any one make a laptop with an ergonomic keyboard?? There are a lot of us dragging around a full sized split keyboard to use with a lap top which is ridiculous. I can not use a regular keyboard due to repetitive stress injuries. I would love to buy a laptop but I won't buy a product that is going to hurt me further. There is a market out there and a lot more people who are going to need the proper ergonomics as they age. With some thought and some design creativity a split keyboard would fit on a laptop. It could be done

Hello dreamnest3, and welcome to AnandTech Forums.

See the post above yours by corkyg. Basically size and space is a big consideration. Only larger notebooks would be able to fit a keyboard that can split apart, and then it would be so thin that it would likely be flimsy. And something like my Dell Latitude 13 would never fit anything bigger than it already has, since my whole notebook is under 1" thick and weighs 3.5 pounds.
